Computer Tip of the Week

Deleting Old Documents
Clean up your hard drive
Greetings!

How long has it been since you've deleted all those old documents on your computer? If your computer is more than a few years old, you may have a small hard drive and those unneeded documents are taking up valuable space. I spoke to a gentleman last week who said he had 500 DOCUMENTS in My Documents. He admitted that most of them were old and he no longer needed them.

If you have any of my books, there is a lesson on deleting old documents. Just check the Table of Contents. If not, that's one of the FREE lessons on my website. Click here to go to the list of lessons and click on Deleting Old Documents. Take a look at the other free lessons while you're there. You can print them all.

Remember, those old documents will go to the Recycle Bin and will still take up space on your hard drive. If you're sure you won't need them, empty the Recycle Bin (this lesson is also in my books). Click here if you'd like to order a copy of Taming Your Computer -- The Simple Basics and Beyond. This book is intended for Windows XP, not Windows Vista.

About Me

My photo
I love teaching senior citizens to use computers. I'm a senior myself, so I'm working with my peers. When I work with you in your home on your computer, I don't sit in front of your computer and TELL you want to do. You sit in front of your computer while I TEACH you what to do. I also write step-by-step instructions for you to follow when I'm not there.
