Good Morning!
Phoney Solicitations See who it REALLY is!
I have to thank my friend Anita Larson for this tip. I read it in her newsletter last week. It's something I didn't know and I'll bet you didn't either. Thanks, Anita. How many times have you received an e-mail from an address that looks like your bank or credit card company or some other official looking business? They want to confirm your account or they're telling you that there's a problem with your account, or something that sounds urgent. They ask you to click on a link to verify your information to clear up the problem. I would guess that 99.9% of these solicitations are phoney -- phishing (pronounced fishing) expeditions that attempt to get your personal information to steal your identity. DO NOT reply to these solicitations. Delete it immediately and call your bank or credit card company to verify your account. Sometimes they will ask you to forward the message to them so they can try to track down the sender. Remember, FREE SHIPPING is available on all orders of my book, Taming Your Computer -- The Simple Basics and Beyond, until May 31. That's a $4 savings. Click here to order your copy today.
