| Shortcut key for fonts in Word Another time saver |
| I keep remembering various keyboard shortcuts that I use all the time and want to share with you. Problem is, if I don't write them down while I'm thinking of it, they're gone. Senior moments again. This week's keyboard shortcut works in Microsoft Word. If you want to change the font in a document, first highlight the text you want to change and then hold down the CTRL key. Press and release the letter D and the font dialog box will instantly appear before your very eyes. Here's a completely unrelated tip. Yesterday I woke up with a very sore throat and was so tired I felt like I had been hit by a train. Familiar feeling. I had strep throat last month and that's exactly how I felt then. Since it was Sunday, I went to the walk-in Urgent Care facility I had been to before. When the doctor confirmed that it was strep (again) I asked him why/how I had caught it again so soon. He asked, "Did you replace your toothbrush?" Duh -- of course not! No one told me the time before that I should do that. Everyone I've talked to since then has also been shocked at that simple tip. So, I'm sharing it with you. If you ever get strep throat, replace your toothbrush. Tell your friends you heard it here. (Has nothing to do with computers, but I love to share all kinds of information.) |
